Children books
The Sentence-drawer for kids and Magic Words
Les Scriptos (The Sentence-drawers for kids) is a book filled with “sentence-drawing” pages, taken from le Scriptographe (the Sentence-drawer), a device made to translate a word into a graphical trace. In the kids version, all the words translate into a drawing: linking the letters of “boat”, a boat is traced, when you connect the letters of “ghost”, a ghost appears; “Louise lives here” draws a house and “baddie or goodie?” traces a shark.
Pascal Rivier did the cover illustration for the Sentence-drawer for kids. I showed it to publishers and Hatier asked me to develop a workbook about words and letters. I really enjoyed creating it. I really like those Mots Magiques (Magic Words). They were published in 2003. Illustrations are by Stefany Devaux.
Magic Numbers
Nombres Magiques (Magic Numbers) was meant to be published in the same collection Crayons Malins as Mots Magiques (Magic Words), but this time about numbers. However, when I finished the manuscript, Hatier finally decided not to continue the collection. Then, I offered the manuscript to other publishers. But nothing happened but the games I created for the book. Still, I really like these pages and the following ones in particular. Who wants to publish Magic Numbers ?
