The Story-maker
The Story-maker (le constructeur d'histoire) was created in 2011. As its name indicates, it's made to build stories. To do so, you don't need much imagination : the body of the story appears by itself.
To do it, you need to pick 2 types of pre-words and put them in the right boxes. (The pre-words are made of 1 to 6 graphic signs : a circle, a straight line, a curve, a triangle, a U shape etc.) You choose how many numbers you want to use, depending on the desired length of the story.
Once the pre-words are put into the notebook boxes, you have to combine the shape of the two pre-words 2 by 2 (at the intersection between each column and each line), so as to create a unique shape. Then you can describe what you drew, with words.
This way, you can create up to 12 words or group of words. They are the content of the story. The reading of these words is the basis of the story and you just need to add a few elements to it to complete it.
I wrote 20 stories with the story-builder. Many of their characters are named after children I know. They always are children stories.
The following images illustrate how the story Less is more (Un truc en moins) was created.
The Story-maker and its stories are completely original.
