My ID portrait
A compact biography
I was born in Rennes in 1973. There, I studied visual arts during three years fully dedicating all my time to photography. That is the reason why I came to live in Paris when I was 23. And for Paris too. However, I soon decided to stop creating images. I found other and more conceptual forms of enjoyments.
A few months after my arrival in Paris I found the idea of the « Scriptographe » while I was doing an internship in an advertising agency where I got really bored. There, I also had time to model « The Bandolier » (la Cartouchière) . And I did everything I could to bring them to life.
Since then, I've been devoting my time to creation in various fields (as you will see here). To be precise, it's the time l that I have left minus the two days I spend at the museum box-office and the time I spend living without creating.
My projects live and they can, for most of them, keep on being made, read, and should lead to create new encounters. Some of them have never been published or shown. Feel free to get in touch with me.
The website
On this website you will find most of the projects that I have been filling my life with since I've started « producing » , or in other words, since I've been producing my ideas into reality. The first projects date back from 1995.
I wanted to review and show my work. I only used to tell my friends, family or professional involved about my projects. This time I want to show everyone.
I built that website while I was writing a book entitled « All my precious time ». Writing about my projects was the first and foremost intimate way I wanted to tell about my work . But in the end, I realised that if I could write this book, without any images or mostly, it was because I well knew that I would put all the images on the website. But the opposite is also true: I would have never been able to create that website without a hard copy of my work. You won't find 300 pages to read here, but just the essential words.
I wanted this website to be a visually simple one, I hope you will enjoy this wander through my work.
